How can an NRI investor get his redemption proceeds?

Redemption proceeds are credited directly to the investor’s registered NRE or NRO bank account in India, depending on the selected mode of investment.

Repatriable (NRE Account):

  • Proceeds are credited in Indian Rupees (INR) to the NRE account.

  • Funds are freely repatriable abroad without restrictions.

Non-Repatriable (NRO Account):

  • Proceeds are credited to the NRO account.

  • Subject to tax deductions and repatriation limits as per RBI guidelines.

  • Investors may repatriate funds abroad by submitting Form 15CA/CB and required documents through their bank.

Essential Details:

  • AMCs cannot credit redemption or dividend proceeds to overseas bank accounts.

  • All payments are made in INR, as mandated by SEBI and RBI regulations.
