Yes. As per SEBI and AMFI guidelines, investors exempt from the mandatory PAN requirement can get their KYC formalities done for mutual fund KYC.
They can submit other officially valid documents (OVDs) as proof of identity and address.
Once verified, such investors are allotted a PAN-Exempt KYC Reference Number (PEKRN).
A PEKRN allows them to invest in mutual funds in the same manner as any regular KYC-compliant investor.
