1. What is the WisBees Business Carnival?
The WisBees Business Carnival is India’s first experiential entrepreneurship and financial literacy program designed exclusively for school students class 3 and above. It is a 5–6 hour activity-based simulation where students form companies, manage money, pitch to investors, sell products, and experience an IPO — all in a single day. It is not a seminar or a lecture; it is a fully gamified business experience.
2. What should the age of students participating in the WisBees Business Carnival be?
The program is specifically designed for students from Classes 3 & above, typically ages 8–16. That said, WisBees can design a customized module for students outside this bracket upon request. The curriculum has been carefully calibrated to be engaging and comprehensible for this age group without being overwhelming.
3. How does this event benefit our school as an institution?
Your school gains significant value in multiple ways: a boost in reputation as a forward-thinking, future-ready institution; strong parent and community goodwill through demonstrable life-skills learning; PR benefits through co-branded content and enhanced social media visibility; certificates, medals, and recognition for students and facilitators; and the distinction of being associated with India’s first experiential entrepreneurship program for schools.
Some of the key benefits are outlined below:
-
Provides students with exposure to practical, real-world concepts not usually covered in regular classes
-
Introduces activity-based learning in areas such as financial literacy, teamwork, and problem-solving
-
Does not add any extra academic burden or require changes to the existing school curriculum
-
Fully managed by the WisBees team, requiring minimal effort from the school
-
Already conducted across multiple schools, making the program structured, tested, and easy to implement
4. What are the logistics requirements from our school?
You will need to provide teacher/volunteer coordinators on the day, and an appropriate venue space — this can be your assembly hall, auditorium, 6–8 classrooms, or an open ground depending on the number of students. WisBees takes care of everything else, including refreshments, medals, certificates, stationary, and photography/camera support.
5. What is the minimum and maximum number of students that can participate?
The minimum number of participants required is 200 students. There is no strict upper limit — the program is scalable.
6. Will the event interfere with the school’s academic schedule?
No. WisBees strongly prefers to host the event on a non-working day (Saturday, Sunday, or a school holiday) so that students’ regular academic commitments remain completely unaffected. The scheduling is done in full coordination with your school administration.
7. What is the cost per student?
The per-student participation fee is ₹500. This covers the full 5–6 hour event experience, all materials, stationery, refreshments, cash prize of Rs 10,000 to the winning team, certificates, medals, photography, and event facilitation by the WisBees team. The fee is structured to be affordable while ensuring a premium event experience.
8. What does the event curriculum cover?
The curriculum covers: money and how it works, business ideation and company formation, banking fundamentals (capital, savings, loans), product creation, pricing and selling, investor pitching (Shark Pitch simulation), marketing and branding, money management and profit, and finally a grand IPO Day that simulates public listing of a company. It follows an 8-round structured flow across the event day.
9. Can you walk us through the 8 rounds of the event?
- Round 1: Idea & Team Formation — students identify a problem and form startup teams.
- Round 2: Company Formation — teams establish identity, roles, and structure.
- Round 3: Bank Challenge — understanding capital, savings, loans, and financial discipline.
- Round 4: Create Your Product & Sell — product development, pricing, and real-time selling.
- Round 5: Shark Pitch — pitching ideas to a panel with valuation and negotiation.
- Round 6: Money Master Class — core concepts of profit and wealth creation.
- Round 7: Marketing & Selling — branding, promotion, and customer engagement strategies.
- Round 8: The Big IPO Day — grand finale simulating business scaling and public listing.
10. Can the event be customized to suit our school’s specific theme or curriculum focus?
Yes, WisBees is open to customizing certain elements of the event to align with your school’s academic ethos or a specific theme. Customizations may include branding the event co-jointly with your school name, adjusting the complexity level for older or younger cohorts, or integrating specific curriculum touchpoints. Please discuss this during your initial briefing call.
11. Will our teachers need to do anything to prepare the students beforehand?
No prior preparation is required from teachers or students. The event is entirely self-contained and introductory. WisBees facilitators manage the entire program and guide students through each round. Teachers’ roles on the day are primarily supervisory — they work alongside WisBees volunteers to ensure smooth student movement and engagement.
12. Is this program only useful for students who want to become entrepreneurs or pursue commerce?
Not at all. WBC is designed for every student, regardless of their intended career path. Financial concepts like loans, investments, savings, and budgeting are life skills that every adult encounters. The program also develops critical thinking, leadership, teamwork, and communication — universally valuable skills. As we often say: the best time to learn these skills was 10 years ago; the second-best time is today.
13. What are the competition levels? Can our students go beyond the school level?
Yes. WBC follows a 4-level national competition structure. L1 is the School Level (Class 3 and above within your school). Top performers advance to L2: Inter-School Level, where teams from multiple schools compete. L3 is the State Level, where top city teams showcase ideas to real investors. L4 is the National Level, where the best teams compete nationally and gain access to mentorship, industry interaction, and potential funding opportunities.
14. What certifications or recognitions will students and teachers receive?
- Participation certificates for all students
- Medals and Cash awards for winners
- Certificates for teachers and coordinators
All recognitions are professionally designed and branded.
15. How do we formally invite WisBees to host the event at our school?
You can reach out to the WisBees team via email at info@wisbees.com. Upon receiving your inquiry, our team will schedule a briefing call to understand your school’s requirements, align on expectations, and mutually finalize a suitable date. A detailed proposal along with partnership documentation will then be shared for your review
16. How does this event align with your NEP / Skill Development initiatives?
Yes, the WisBees Business Carnival is fully aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, which emphasizes experiential, competency-based, and multidisciplinary learning. Instead of theoretical lectures, students learn by doing, such as forming companies, managing capital, making financial decisions, pitching to investors, and participating in an IPO simulation. This directly supports NEP’s focus on application-based education over rote learning. The program builds core 21st-century skills such as financial literacy, critical thinking, leadership, communication, teamwork, and entrepreneurial mindset, all central to NEP’s skill development objectives.
